You need to understand
that all online translators are computer programs that do literal translation
- they translate text word by word, ignoring the overall meaning of the text.
So be prepared that sometimes the translation might look a little
strange, funny or incomprehensible. In rare instances the meaning can become a total opposite of the original.
There are things called
idioms - these are phrases that have a meaning different from the meaning of
the words they are made of. If
translated literally, the meaning is partially or completely distorted.
Let's take "hot dog" for example. This simple and tasty
"sausage and bun" type of food will be translated as canine with high
temperature.
If you need quality translation, you would be better off hiring a
professional (and very human) translator.
